In a news release, Group Ten Metals Inc. (PGE:TSX.V; PGEZF:OTCQB; 5D32:FSE) announced high-grade geological mapping and sampling results from its flagship Stillwater West polymetallic project in Montana, as well as results from its just completed 2020 field exploration program.
Ground-based geological sampling and mapping was from two new high-grade platinum group element (PGE) targets at Chrome Mountain. At the Dunite Ridge target, rock samples returned 3.54 grams per ton (3.54 g/t) platinum, 7.52 g/t palladium and 0.03 g/t gold, in holes CM-2020-02 and CM-2020-03. These data confirmed and expanded on previous ones.
At the Bald Hills target, samples returned four more high-grade PGE values.
The Vancouver-based Group Ten also completed this season at Stillwater West a geophysical induced polarization (IP) survey and subsequent drilling. The survey, done over 77 line kilometers of the property, shows large, highly conductive anomalies that strongly correlate with known zones of mineralization. It also demonstrates continuity throughout the surveyed area, the company noted.
Using the results of the IP survey as a guide, Group Ten drilled nine holes at the Chrome Mountain target, starting in mid-August. The purpose was to convert mineralization into resources and expand zones of known mineralization at the priority areas there.
Now, the company is modeling the prospective resource in the Discovery, Camp and HGR targets. "Drill data in these areas delineate thick intervals of continuous nickel-copper sulphide mineralization enriched in palladium, platinum, rhodium, gold and cobalt," Rowley added.
"We are very pleased with the preliminary results from our biggest field program to date at Stillwater West," President and CEO Michael Rowley said in the release.
